Kevin Swindell Wins Chili Bowl Nationals! TULSA, Okla. (January 16, 2010) – It isn't unheard of for a Swindell to pull into victory lane when the checkered flag flies upon the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals 50-lap championship main event.
However, this time it was young Kevin Swindell capturing his first Golden Driller by topping Saturday night's championship finale at the Quik Trip Center's Tulsa Expo Raceway.
Son of five-time Chili Bowl champ Sammy, Kevin Swindell took command on the 24th round and then held off the late challenges of Cole Whitt and 25th-starter Sammy Swindell to snare the prestigious win.
